A Switchable Multi-Band Low Noise Amplifier for Global WiMAX Application

This paper presents a multi-band low-noise amplifier (MB-LNA) with switchable for global WiMAX broadband wireless applications. The MB-LNA is designed in 0.18μm RF CMOS process. Simulation results show that power gains are lO.ldB at 2.3GHz, 11.ldB at 2.5GHz, 13.5dB at 3.5GHz and 15.3dB at 5.8GHz. Input return loss are lower than -9.3dB at 2.3GHz, -12.7dB at 2.5GHz, -9.0dB at 3.5GHz and -10.2dB at 5.8GHz; and output return loss are all below -9.0dB respectly. A minimum NF are 4.0dB at 2.3GHz, 3.5dB at 2.5GHz, 2.8dB at 3.5GHz and 3.4dB at 5.8GHz while the power consumption is 11.5 mW through 1.5V power supply including output buffer.
