Daily Dietary Selenium Intake and Hair Selenium in High Selenium Areas of Enshi, China

摘要：

Introduction Enshi is a typical high selenium (Se) area, where 477 cases of human selenosis have been reported from 1923 to 1987. In recent years, no occurrences of human Se poisoning have been reported (Fordyce et al., 2000; Zhu et al., 2007). Selenium is widely distributed in human body. Its content in blood, urine, hair and nails are important indictors to evaluate Se level in human body (Wietecha et a)., 2005).
