LOGARITHMIC IMAGE PROCESSING FOR COLOR IMAGES
The LIP (Logarithmic Image Processing) framework is classically devoted to grayscale images.We present its extension to color images in a model called LIPC (LIP for Color images).In order to keep it consistent with human vision,this model is built through the use of the eye wavelength sensitivity.As in the LIP model,basic operations as addition,subtraction and multiplication are explained,defining a vector space structure on the space of color images.These properties bring some useful deductions permitting us to develop applications such as real-time dynamic range control or color prediction.
