A Block Mapping Binarizing Algorithm Capable of Partialy Reserving Intensity Distribution of Original Image
A new image binarizing algorithm performing distinct block mapping is designed in this paper. Compared with most binarizing algorithms that convert grayscale image to binary by thresholding, this algorithm is capable of reserve more original grayscale distribution information, and produce a print edition of the original image. The characteristic of this algorithm make it applicable to many fields such as laser engraving and tactile display technology.
