Localised Marching Cubes for Correcting Image Segmentation

For visual analysis of level set MR image segmentation results, the target isosurface is often extracted as a triangle mesh. The most popular such polygonisation method is the marching cubes algorithm. Holes can appear in the extracted surface due to missing data after the MR volume is preprocessed. We thus use our marching cubes extensions to create a system whereby the user can direct intelligent agent swarms to move across the surface and correct the segmentation, with real-time fully interactive visualisation.
