The retrieval and analysis of sea surface suspended sediment movement based on multi-source remote sensing data Case Study of Dalian Taiping Bay
A wide range of suspended sediment concentration can be obtained by satellite remote sensing data. According to multi-temporal remote sensing data and quasi-simultaneously surface sediment data measured, while by the mean of the wind field data from QuickSCAT satellite, there is a research on surface suspended sediment distribution and movement trends of Dalian Taiping Bay. The result indicated that the average sand concentration of Taiping Bay is not large, sediment movement is not active, and the trend of near-shore sediment transportation is inconspicuous. In addition, the sediment discharged from Liao River in the north of Liaodong Bay has less impact on Taiping Bay.
