Reliability Analysis for a Hyperbaric Chamber
Hyperbaric oxygen chamber is a medical instrument which helps medical therapy for diversity of diseases including cardiovascular diseases, myocardial infarction diabetes mellitus, cytothesis expedition etc. through provision of high purity oxygen. Securing reliability should be addressed as one of the most significant factor for a reliable product In this study, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) has been performed for a newly developed hyperbaric oxygen chamber. We first briefly explained the system structure and mechanism. We then drew major failure modes affecting the system performance and performed in depth analysis for measuring the expected effects. The results in this study not only figure out the potential failure modes but provide meaningful treatment guidelines for practical applications.
