Application of Principal Components Analysis in Mine Ventilation System Evaluation

In order to efficiently analyze influential factors of ventilation system and realize the accurate and reli-able evaluation, we applied principal components analysis to establish mine ventilation system evaluation mode. Based on the principal components analysis of the evaluation indexes, we established the linear relationship be-tween index variables and safety, and determined the comprehensive components risk value, to realize the quanti-tative evaluation of ventilation system. We use the software SPSS to realize the comprehensive evaluation of ven-tilation system situation. The result indicates that it does not only reduce the overlapped information level and simplify the burden of hierarchical division with this method, but also greatly reduces the data processing work, which provides technical basis for safety production management and decision making.
