Experimental Study on Inhibiting the Gas and Coal Dust Explosion by Water Mist
In this paper,we use pipeline to analog simulation mine environment. The explosion flame propagation of gas and coal dust in the pipeline is suppressed by medium pressure water mist. The effectiveness about water mist is researched in this paper. And based on the gas and coal dust mixtures explodes mechanism, the qualitative and quantitative research is analyzed. The research indicates that the flame transmission speed of mixture is reduced by the water mist. The temperature of flame which is obtained by the Thermocouple is also decreased in the pipeline. But the water mist is useless in flame relevant parameter with stronger explosion. The pressure of water mist need be increased. And the inhibition of water mists physical chemistry character need be changed. These measures are to enhance extinguishment effort. Experimental conclusion: the research about water mist suppression is providing technology support of coal mine explosion suppression device.
