Design and Related Parameters of Mobile Refuge Chamber for Coal Mines
Refuge chamber can provide stable, reliable and completely guaranteed life space for miners in disaster circumstance as well as reduce the loss to a lower point. Mining developed countries such as the USA, Canada and South Africa have made lots of research on emergency shelter and refuge chamber as an important part of mine emergency rescue work and they have made many successful rescue experiences. However, mine refuge chamber is never used in China as a safety guaranteed facility. The following paper brings forward refuge chamber design that is suitable for Chinese coal mine working environment through making analysis and comparison on products offered by ChemBio Shelter, Inc, Strata Products WordWild, LLC, MineARC Systems United States and other over 20 China enterprises analogous products and combining China coal mining features. It performs an optimized analysis on coal mine refuge chamber classification, structure and function design and ancillary equipments from the aspects of refuge chamber facilitys practicability, human-machine reliability and economy. Additionally, it makes researches on structure and function parameter on this basis. The achievements in this research will provide technology support for relative domestic enterprises and avoid blindness investment which may cause a waste of funds as well as provide theoretical reference for constituting coal mine refuge chambers general technology conditions, standards and standardized design.
