The Simulation of Explosive Shock Wave Propagation Rule at Turning Point in Tunnel

In our research, we employ the ALE algorithm. Also, we choose 30kg TNT explosive as the blast source (a strip of naked explosive), coal mine tunnel with cross-sectional area of 6m2(2m wide by 3m high or 3m wide by 2m high), and recording interval time At = 5ms. Our goal is, through the software, to simulate the state and the corresponding pressure changes of shock wave through the tunnel bending point ( angle 45 °), the peak pressure of the shock wave as the tunnel cross-sectional area and the axial distance change, and the variation of the shock wave pressure at different points in the same cross-section of mine tunnel. Finally, we conclude: the general rule of the explosion shock wave propagation in tunnel at a certain distance travels in a form of plane wave in the straight tunnel; the wave pressure gradually decreases as the distance from the source increases. Moreover, the maximum peak pressure in outer lateral at the bending point, a larger peak value, is about 3 times larger than the one in inner lateral.
