The progress of biohydrometallurgy in China

The earliest record of biohydrometallury in China was described in the book titled ShanHaiChing in the 6th or 7th century BC, and that focused on in SongGuo mountain, LuoShui River flowing out and into WeiShui River, which contain much copper. In Han Dynasty, HuaiNan King Liu An had written a book titled Huai Nan Wan Bi Shu (in the 2nd century BC) , and a record about copper extraction from acid mine drainage ( AMD) : copper was obtained when iron was put into BaiQing solution. In Tang and Song Dynasty ( in the 600 - 960 years AD ) , copper hydrometallurgy factories were established and the annual highest copper production reached more than 500 000 kg.
