Effect of Cl on the electrochemical behavior of chalcopyrite in the bioleaching system
This research is carried out to show effect of Cl on the electrochemical behavior of chalcopyrite bioleaching system. This article uses the cyclic voltammetry to measure oxidation strength of chalcopyrite in different combinations of bacteria and different concentrations of chloride. The results show that mixed bacteria have more advantages than a single one in the oxidation of chalcopyrite, and Cl ~ promotes the oxidation of chalcopyrite. However, high concentrations of Cl~ do not evidently promote the oxidation of chalcopyrite. Because Cl- is beneficial to the oxidation of chalcopyrite, we can guess that adding a small amount of Cl~ can increase the leaching rate of chalcopyrite. Therefore, the results of this study have great guiding value in the field of leaching process of chalcopyrite.
