Separation and analysis of lignite bioconversion products
Lignite, lignite pretreated with nitric acid and residual lignite after bioconversion were sequentially extracted with petroleum ether, CS2 , methanol, acetone, mixed solvent consisting of acetone and CS2 of equal volume, tetrahydrofuran (THF) and mixed solvent consisting of THF and CS2 of equal volume. Each extract was analyzed with GC/MS. The differences in composition and structure of lignite, lignite pretreated with nitric acid and residual lignite after bioconversion were inferred by comparing the differences of the extracts. The results showed that the kinds of extracts of lignite after bioconversion decreased in methanol, acetone, THF and THF/CS2 solvents, and they were aromatic compounds with one or several benzene rings and their derivatives and some long-chain aliphatic hydrocarbon compounds with oxygen. On the contrary, the extracts including chain hydrocarbons, hydrocarbons with a few and side chains and a small quantity of aromatic compounds with benzene rings, increased in petroleum ether, CS2 , acetone/ CS2 solvents.
