The development of technological schemes for tank bio-hydrometallurgical process of refractory gold-bearing sulfide materials
Presents the results of tests tank bio-oxidation of sulfide flotation concentrates, with two-stage schemes, which include gravitational separation biopulp between stages. Research conducted on a sample of flotation concentrate containing; 20% arsenopyrite, 35% pyrrhotite, 8%pyrite, 7% stibnite. It is shown that the use of gravity separation biopulp after the first stage of oxidation (70 - 90 hours) , can reduce the amount of material coming into the side stage of the bio-oxidation in 2 - 2. 5 times. This allows us to increase the productivity of the entire process tank of bacterial oxidation of sulfide flotation concentrates, to intensify the process and increase the extraction of Au with a further cyanidation (95% ), due to increased oxidation of minerals in the second stage of the biooxidation. Research of technological schemes has carried out in an enlarged scale with the use of industrial culture of moderately thermophilic microorganisms, as well as methods for displaying an intensification of the second stage of oxidation bio-pulp (sand cyclone) , allowing to increase the degree of oxidation. Tests using two-stage schemes have shown that the performance of the tanks of bacterial oxidation of arsenopyrite-pyrrhotite hard flotation concentrates can be increased by 20% — 30% with an increase in gold recovery during cyanidation further to 95%.
