Bioleaching of Cu - Zn flotation tailings
At present, about 14 billion tons tailings are discharged by nonferrous metal mining in China every year-and most of them are out of management as important secondary resource. In this paper, Cu - Ni flotation of tailings from Liaoning Province was studied. The dynamic corrosion of main metallic minerals is studied by process mineralogy. The oxidation corrosion rate of sphalerite is higher than that of chalcopyrite in the bioleaching process and 4 hours faster for sphalerite in the chalcopyrite and sphalerite mineral pair than sphalerite monomineral. The leaching of sphalerite is quickened by chalcopyrite. The copper leaching rate of Hongtoushan Mine is 43. 15% and that of Zn is 81. 05% after 390 days. It means nearly 5 billion Yuan for the enterprise.
