A Novel GM (1,1) Power Model with Application of Forecasting Port Throughput

As to the problem that small sample data often occurred in port throughput prediction, this paper proposes a novel GM (1,1) power model to predict the port throughput of Lianyungang.In terms of parameters setting, GM (1,1) power model is more flexible than the traditional GM (1,1) model.The realistic simulation and prediction results show that, GM (1,1) power model can play better in analysis and modeling on port throughput, when the number of date is less.Furthermore, the model s practicality and reliability are confirmed by a numerical example.
