Detecting the Ambiguity of 2.5D Polygons

摘要：

If a fixed 2.5D polygon could bound several distinct genus-0 surfaces in space, the polygon is ambiguous. In this paper, we propose a decomposition scheme for 2.5D polygons using Gauss diagrams from knot theory, and use it to detect the ambiguity of 2.5D polygons.
