Analysis and Appraisal of Cost Effectiveness on Disposal Methods of Municipal Solid Waste in Beijing

摘要：

There are lots of resources in solid waste which can be recycled, but refuse classification has not won enough attention. Taking Beijing as the case for appraisal, this paper analyzed quantitatively the cost-benefit of two disposal scenarios including the whole process of collection and treatment, and concluded that it was necessary to promote garbage classification from the economic perspective. Having taken the practical situation of Beijings waste classification pilot community into consideration, the assessment results can be used as reference for decision-making of municipal solid waste disposal in Beijing.
