Status and Risk Analysis on Electronic Waste Management in China
The amount of electronic waste, or products that have outlived their useful life, is growing quite rapidly, while policy and risk management strategies for the disposal of e-waste in China do not grow with them, but rather become weaker. The Chinese government has begun to take action on e-waste as the dangerous ecological and human health consequences of improper disposal of electronic equipment become evident. Based on some regulations and decrees made on utilising important recycling and disposal techniques, we identify and discuss the risk management framework and its overall strategies.
