A New Radar Emitter Recognition Method Based on Pulse Sample Figure
Radar emitter recognition is the terminal purpose of radar signal processing. The classical recognition method based on feature extraction usually compares feature data of unrecognized radar signal with the data in database and then obtains emitter recognition result. For the system of radar becoming more and more complex nowadays, traditional methods of radar emitter recognition are facing more and more flinty problems. A new feature description method called pulse sample figure is put forward in this paper to describe complex system radars more exactly. Then the corresponding algorithm of radar emitter recognition based on pulse sample figure is researched. In this algorithm, complete sorting and feature extraction in traditional emitter recognition are unnecessary, so the processing step is simplified. Simulation results show that the algorithm is available and practical; especially a high correct recognition rate can be got when the density of pulse sequence data is moderate with this algorithm.
