Empirical Analysis of Some Problems in Bilingual Instruction at Xi’an Jiaotong University from Perspective of Learners
This paper is an empirical analysis of three problems in bilingual instruction at Xi’an Jiaotong University. On the basis of the practice of bilingual instruction of the university, the author analyzed three concrete problems: bilingual teacher, the bilingual teaching material and the role of traditional English class in bilingual instruction. Results show that 1) The students’ preferred bilingual course teachers are Chinese teachers who have been studied the related subjects abroad. 2) The students’ preferred bilingual textbooks are original English editions. 3) The results of bilingual courses are positively affected by CET Examination scores.
