Reclaiming Bioenergy From Alcohol Wastewater by Upflow Anaerobic Solid Reactor Process and High Value Use of Biogas
The upflow anaerobic solid reactor ( USR ) process of thermophilic anaerobic fermentative has been used to treating alcohol wastewater for reclaiming bioenergy, and the biogas produced was purified. Under the temperature of 55 C, the COD volume load of USR was 4kg/(m3-d), and the effluent alkalinity, VFA, pH were 3000mg/L, below 500mg/L, 6.7 - 7.6 respectively. Biogas produced of specific volume was 1.8 m3/m3. Combined process removal rate of COD was 99%, and the effluent quality is able to satisfy the demands of discharge. After purification treatment, the methane content of biogas was high than 98%, and the hydrogen sulfide content was below 30 mg/Nm3. The high value use of biogas was achieved.
