Integration of Separation and Coordination Reaction of K+ in Sugar-Making Mother Liquor B on Ion-Exchange Chromatography Column

China is severely short of Potassium resource. However, K+ is a melassigenic ion, and the high content and great melassegeniccoefficient of K+ mother liquor B in sugar-making can low sugar recoverying ratio. In order to reuse K+ in mother liquor B as a resource, a creative idea was raised to extract K+ by integrating the separation and the reaction :of K+, during the desalting of thin juice and mother liquor B. The results indicate that (1) the quality of thin juice and mother liquor B can be improved, the decalcium percentage of thin juice is greater than 90% and the de-potassium percentage is greater than 54.2% under experimental conditions; (2) the regeneration of decalcium resin using depotassium mother liquor B benefits to the de-sodium of mother liquor B; (3) the regeneration percentage of de-potassium resin is greater than 85.8% under experimental conditions; and (4) the elution of K+ on resin by the method of integrating the separation and the reaction ascribes to the attractive force and salification between SO42- and K+, and the ion exchanging between K+ on resin and Na+ in solution.
