Quantitative Analysis of Amlodipine Besylate Powder Using Near Infrared Spectroscopy Combined with Partial Least-squares
NIR spectroscopy technique was attempted to measure amlodipine besylate powder in this work. The HPLC method was assumed to provide the reference value of the analyte for calibration. Partial least-squares (PLS) multivariate calibrations was used to build models between the NIR spectra and concentrations of amlodipine besylate. The number of PLS factors and the spectral preprocessing methods were optimised simultaneously by cross-validation in the model calibration. The performance of the final model was evaluated according to root mean square error of cross-validation RMSECV), root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP), correlation coefficient of calibration set (Re) and prediction set (Rp). The results of final model were achieved as follows: RMSECV=0.224, RMSEP=0.233, Rc=0.9741 and Rp=0.9687. This work demonstrated that NIR spectroscopy with PLS algorithm could be used to analyse amlodipine besylate powder.
