In vivo Antifungal Activities of the Tea Tree Oil Vapor Against Botrytis cinerea
In vivo experiments, the fungicidal activities of five essential oils vapor against Botrytis cinerea were tested. They are tea tree oil, clove oil, garlic oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus leaf oil. The results indicated that the fungicidal activities of tea tree oil against B. cinerea were better than that of other essential oils. At the same time, tea tree oil also could inhibit the growth of other main fungal pathogen of fruits. The ECM and MIC values of tea tree oil against B. cinerea mycelial growth were 0.063ml/L and 0.7ml/L (v/v), respectively.
