Rapid Development of Motorcycle Styling Design Base on Reverse CAX Digital Technology
A rapid development method of motorcycle styling design based on reverse Computer Aid Design (CAX) digital technology is addressed. The main objective is to improve a Research & Development (RD) teams productivity by the effective integrity of existing digital design methods. An integrated motorcycle design methodology, Rapid Development Base on CAX (RDBCAX), is presented, which consist of CADCAMCAE technology. It makes RD process more quickly and more effectively compared with the traditional design means. A case study on a companys 250 Scooter development project is used to illustrate the whole process of the new method. The proposed methodology have a positive impact on the future development of the motorcycle design.
