Impedance spectra of TiO2 substituted NiFe1.86Ti0.07O2.93 in CaCl2-NaCl-0.5 wt.%CaO

NiFe1 .86Ti0.07O3.93 was an important electronic material and intensively studied for the potential use in the molten salt industry. Interface was an important part of the electrolysis cell and had decisive effect on the electrolysis process. In this work, TiO2 substituted NiFe1.86Ti0.07O3.93 synthesized by the solid reaction method was characterized by X-ray diffraction. The interfacial properties of NiFe1.86TI0.07O3.93 and molten salt CaCl2-NaCl-0.5 wt.%CaO at 873-1023 K were investigated by AC impedance spectra. DC voltages were overlapped during the measurement of the AC impedance spectra. The AC impedance spectra were composed of three semicircles and were simulated by the equivalent circuit of R(Q1/R1)(Q2/R2)(C/R3). Equivalent circuit parameters were obtained and their change with temperature and DC voltage was discussed.
