Influence of Rain Shed on Grape Growth and Quality
The rain shelter applicable to local grape planting was designed according to climatic characteristics of Jiangsu Coast. The influence of rain shelter on the growth environment and quality of grape was researched comparing with open-air cultivation. Test results show that the temperature and CO2 concentration are reduced and the humidity is raised in rain cultivation in sunny day. In cloudy days, the temperature is reduced in rain cultivation and the changes of humidity and CO2 density are little both in two conditions. The values ofPn, Gs, Tr and WUE of Wink leaf are raised in rain cultivation. The Ci value of Wink leaf in rain cultivation is slightly lower than in open-air cultivation. The research results also indicate that the appearance quality and nutritional quality are improved by rain cultivation. Practice shows that the designed shelter shed may be promoted to use in large areas in Jiangsu Coast.
