Heat Exchange of Eggplant and Air in Artificial Environment
To obtain the heat exchange between eggplant fruitage and air, the difference in temperature of eggplant fruitage surface and air on controlled environment temperature, light intensity and wind speed was measured. The convection coefficient between eggplant fruitage and air, and kc, ks parameters of the models were calculated using Porter and Mitchell s models. The influence of latent heat coming from eggplant water loss on model parameters was analyzed through different measurement time intervals. The results showed the latent heat of the eggplant fruitage water loss 24h after sampling was 5.3Wm2, and it caused clear influence on the heat balance on the surface of the eggplant. The measurement result of the convection coefficient was 3.738 Wm: C1. It gives a definite parameter for convection heat analyses. Not only did this paper provide a measurement method of the convection coefficient, it laid a foundation for crop climate space study also.
