Physiological Indices of Cold Tolerance in Tomato Parents and Fr at Different Low Temperatures
Tomato fruits are cold-sensitive, and easy to develop cold tolerance at cold storage. Information on physiological and genetic characteristics closely related to cold tolerance. In this study, cold resistant degree, proline (Pro) content and relative conductivity (EC) were measured for 4 tomato cultivars and 2 of their hybrids at different low temperatures to analyze differences in cold tolerance. The results showed that Vegetable fourth had the strongest cold tolerance; Strong plentiful ginkgo had the weakest; Gold saint and Cherry tomato were in the middle part; Big fruit FI that was the hybrids of female parent Vegetable fourth and male parent Strong plentiful ginkgo was stronger than his male parent; Frontlet Ft that was the hybrids of female parent Cherry tomato and male parent Gold saint was consistent with the parental.
