Establishment of Regeneration System from Different Organs of Gladiolus
Gladiolus cullivar Rose Supreme was used to establish regeneration systems from different organs such as cor me I. leave, petal, pedicels and anther for genetic transformation. Developmental characteristic of callus, bud and root were studied and compared. The results indicated that regeneration systems can be established by using cor me Is, petals and pedicels as explants. while using leaves and anthers didn 7 succeed. New petals can be formed from petal callus directly. Parent pigment appeared while plantlets were formed from petals. The Characteristics of malformation such as leaves twisting, leaves crimple and plantlets thinning were also observed.
