Studies on Marine Bacteria Identification and Its Inhibitory Effects on Several Fungal Pathogens of Postharvest Fruit
According to the culture characteristics, morphological, physiological and biochemical properties, and sequence of 16S rRNA gene, the marine bacteria L/-9 was identified as Paenibacillus polymyxa. Antibacterial activities of Lr9 and its fermented liquid were tested by dual culture methods on PDA medium and agar-well diffusion method. The results found Lr9 and its fermentation hold relatively strong antimicrobial activities on strains of Penicillium italicum, Glomerella cingulata, Penicillium expansum and Coniothy rium dlodiella. And the strains inhibitory effects to several fungal pathogens of postharvest fruit were tested by inoculating fermentation and pathogenic fungi in turn on the fruits. The results showed that Strain of Lr9 had adequate antimicrobial activities on those four germs above, and the inhibitory rates were more than 50% after being inoculated for 6 days. However, antimicrobial effects of strain of Lr9 on Coniothy rium dlodiella were weaker than on other strains.
