Growth Performance of Narcissus in Nanjing of China
6 Narcissus cultivars had been introduced to explore the suitable cultivars in Nanjing. They were cultivated in open field, and the phenophase. botanical and bulb economic characters were surveyed. Barrett Browning blossomed earlier than other 5 cultivars, and Tahiti was the last; florescence of Actaea was the longest (21 d); the outer corolla diameter of Barrett Browning was the smallest, the height of which was also the lowest; the propagation coefficient of 6 cultivars was among 1.34- 2.15; emergence and flowering rate of them were beyond 95％, and the increasing rate of Fortissimo could reach 90.6％. So, 6 Narcissus cultivars are all suitable to be cultivated in Nanjing in the open field with normal growing and flowering, and also they can be used in productive practice.
