Progress in Research of Resistant Resources in Citrus Rootstock around the World
This paper, according to research and utilization situation of resistant resources about citrus rootstocks around the world in recent years, reviewed the research progress of resistant resources in citrus rootstocks from its selection and application. The results which concluded the studies of predecessor showed that the primary study trend of disease and pest resistant rootstocks was still to select the one that could resist citrus tristeza virus (CTV) and hold good characteristics of sour orange at the same time; the order of cold hardness was Trifoliate orange and its hybrids > Kumquat > Sow-orange > Loose-skin mandarin and its hybrids > Sweet orange > Grapefruit > Lemon > Lime > Citron; the salinity tolerance of Sour Valencia orange, Yellow orange, Morocco sour orange, Youcheng, Xiangcheng and Hupao was better than Trifoliate orange and Xiecheng which were the worst species; on drought resistance. Rough lemon, Rangpur lime. Red tangerine, etc. were good species. Meanwhile, the paper looked back the research and utilization situation of citrus rootstocks in our country and gave some advises for developing china citrus rootstocks in future in order to provide reference for its reasonably exploiting and genetic improving.
