Optimal Multiplication Medium for Leucadendron Sumo Yellow Through Orthogonal Design

Leucadendron was a new fashionable woody cut flower in the international flower market. To develop a effective in-vitro propagation method, Leucadendron Sumo Yellow were used as materials and an orthogonal test of L9 (i4) was designed to investigate the influences of basal medium, 6-BA, IBA and GA3 on the multiplication of L. Sumo Yellow. Nine kinds of multiplication media were set up according to the orthogonal design. Consistent shoots that sprouted from the semi-lignified stems were excised and transplanted to different multiplication media. The results showed that the suitable basal medium is modified MS; low concentration of hormones are beneficial for the multiplication of L. Sumo Yellow. and the optimal medium is modified MS + 6BAO.lmg/L + IBAO. Img/L + GAjO.5mg/L, with multiplication coefficient 5.86.
