Comparison of Photosynthetic Characteristics among Various Cucumbers
The photosynthesis rate, diurnal variation and yield of chlorophyll fluorescence were investigated. The results were as follows: there was no difference of M peak between the two kinds of cucumbers under weak light; as for the sunny and cloudy day, the M peak of European cucumber was obviously higher than that of North-China cucumber; and the variation of qN and NPQ was the same trend as M peak. While for the photosynthesis rate, the North-China cucumber was higher than that of European cucumber; as for the respire rate, it was reversed. The yield of European cucumber was higher than that of Northern cucumber.
