Dynamic Changes of Physiological Indexes Related to Cold Tolerance in TomatoParents and F1 Hybrids
The chilling tolerance of tomato seeding can be properly evaluated by comprehensive physiological indexes. In this study, six physiological parameters of tomato parents and F/ hybrids including soluble sugar, soluble protein, peroxidase (POD), proline (Pro). relative conductivity (EC) and malondialdehyde (MDA) were determined and analyzed, which is correlated with chilling tolerance. The results showed that there are extremely significant difference between the tomato parents and F/ hybris among these indexes. Compared with two tomato parents, soluble protein content, soluble sugar content, activity of POD. the content of Pro, EC, the concentration of MDA of F/ hybris lied between chillendurance O-33-1 (female parent) and cold-sensitive Naiyun 2000 (male parent). These suggested that there was difference in cold tolerance between tomato parents and Fi hybris. and Fs hybrids inherited characteristics of the parents.
