Performance Evaluation in Grassroots Nonprofit Organizations—With Case Study in Yunnan Province
Based on empirical studies on the performance evaluation of nonprofit organizations (NPOs), this paper developed a so-called eight criteria evaluation model to measure grassroots nonprofit organizations (NPOs), including environment, finance, client, internal procedure, innovation and training, government, competitive and communication. With the help of the analytic hierarchy process and hierarchical clustering method, this paper analyzed performance management of thirty-two grassroots NPOs in Yunnan Province and allocated them into four clusters. Based on research findings, this research pointed out that improving service quality to meet client demand, creating multiple fundraising channels to attract more resources, enhancing networking to make good operations, and increasing communication with different bodies are very important elements for grassroots NPOs to achieve excellent performance in the long run.
