Strategy and Efficiency of Labor in Commune—Empirical Research Based on Production Team

摘要：

To explore the strategy and efficiency of peasant household labor in the period of commune, one integrated data in a typical production team named Dongbeili in Shanxi province of China had been used. The results of empirical research showed that labor allocation conforms to the principle of utility maximization, which was influenced by the family structure, the number of the labor force and the combinations between men and women. With the influence of commune system, the bigger number of the force, the more preserved labor in the family. The collective efficiency was reduced by the preserved labor at some extent
