Research on Governments Role in Restoring Tourism Industry in Sichuan Province after May 12 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake in China

摘要：

From the perspective of tourism crisis management theory, which includes crisis prevention, crisis management and crisis rehabilitation consecutively, this paper focuses on governments role in tourism crisis management after catastrophic Wenchuan earthquake happening on May 12, 2008. By analyzing the status quo of Sichuan tourism restoration and reconstruction right after Wenchuan earthquake, the governments behaviors and involvement in restoring Sichuan tourism industry and its impacts were illustrated and achievements were assessed. And it further proposed some workable and applicable measures for coping with tourism crisis.
