On the Governments Strategic Choice for Crisis Public Relations

Government is a public affairs manager. Its main function is to manage and govern social public affairs. Because China is now in an economic and social transformation period, public crisis occurs frequently. How to carry out the crisis public relations activities successfully, to face and solve the crisis timely and effectively, to protect the public interest, to build a good image of the government, and to promote social stability and harmonious development is the major challenge that a contemporary government must to face, in order to manage the society effectively. Whether the government manages the public crisis effectively largely depends on the governments choice in crisis management strategy and the structure of the effective public Crisis Management System.
