Rent Seeking Versus Government Procurement in China: A Study from the Perspective of Management
In recent years, with the rapid growth of government procurement scale and the improvement of constructing service-oriented government in China, the publics needs for transparent and high efficient government procurement is more demanding. However, aiming at these purposes, the support of a perfect management system of government procurement is a must. This paper, from the perspective of management, first illustrates the rent-seeking behavior of government purchases, then analyzes the institutional void of Chinese government procurement, and targets to workout some countermeasures to improve and perfect the workable government procurement system and raise its efficiency in China.
