Dilemma in Jakarta Water Service Post Public Private Partnership (PPP)
This paper has three objectives. The first is to recognize the human right to water as recently adopted by the UN and consequently redress it as government accountability to the services. The second is to describe the problematic and dilemma of privatization of water services in Jakarta, capital city of Indonesia, as a policy choice. The third is to strengthen the idea that the privatization of public services is beneficial but it is not a panacea, therefore government as the core of public administration has to re-think some of their key policies on public services.
