The Multi-perspective Analysis of University Governance Models

摘要：

This article is based on the five major college governance models oriented from the university committees: 1 teaching staff governance model, 2 company governance model, 3 trustee governance model, 4 stakeholder governance model 5 amalgam models of governance. The difference in models results from the history of university and the adaptation to the external economy, culture and the social environment. The essay synthesizes and analyzes the efficiency, effectiveness, leadership, involvement and response to environmental perspective and evaluates the abovementioned governance model. Results showed that five universities governance models have their own characteristics, strengths and limitations. University should build their own governance according to their unique history, requirements and practice.
