Making Mechanism of Government Accountability Work: Lessons from Indian Civil Society Budget Organizations

In India, civil society budget organizations play an important role to make government accountable to its citizens, they help central and local government set up policy priorities and implement a series of basic public services to the marginalized poor.They mitigate social conflicts so that cultivate a harmonious pro-people and pro-development atmospheres.This paper argues that Indian scholars and civil society organizations set a very good example for China.
