Life and Job Satisfaction of Attendants in the New Community of Prefabricated Houses after 5.12 Earthquake

In order to investigate the psychological life satisfaction and job satisfaction of attendants in the placement of transitional housing in disaster-hit areas of Mianyang City after 5.12 earthquakes, we used questionnaire investigation mode of 548 attendants and other volunteers in disaster-hit Areas with the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) and Life Satisfaction Index B (LSIB). The results from this survey as follows: (1) female attendants is notably higher than male attendants on dimension of Intrinsic job satisfaction; (2) life satisfaction and job satisfaction of attendants in the placement of transitional housing is significantly lower than other volunteers; (3) significant positive correlation were observed between the life satisfaction and job satisfaction of attendants in the placement of transitional housing, and the job satisfaction is the key factor which affected life satisfaction. All society should pay more attention to and try their best to improve psychological wellbeing and satisfaction of attendants in the placement of transitional housing in disaster-hit areas.
