Lessons from the Public Finance on Promoting Low-carbon Economy in Zhejiang Province, China

摘要：

In the context of pursing a sustainable economic growth, China is confronted with a heavy pressure of resources deficiency and environmental pollution. The supply of energy with fast economic growth is likely to be constrained bottleneck in the future. To resolve the contradictions between resource restraint and economic growth, policy-makers in Zhejiang Province have put forward the policy for developing low-carbon economy, so as to achieve the sustainability of economic growth. In this paper, the author takes the perspective of the public finance to investigate into pursuing the low-carbon economic growth in Zhejiang Province. The author makes an analysis on the causes of problems in the practical process, and discusses on how to improve the public finance of low-carbon economic growth for a sustainable economic growth in Zhejiang Province.
