The Study on Insurance System for Unemployed University Graduate in China
In recent years, our countrys advanced education has witnessed rapid growth and has undergone a transformation from Elite-oriented Education to Mass-oriented Education. With the popularization of the advance education, it is necessary to expand the university enrollment. The total number of university students has risen from 6.43 million in 1998 to 20.21 million in 2008, creating a wonder in the history of university development. However, such an expansion has also brought about a series of problems, among which one of the most concern is the problem of unemployment faced by university graduates. On the basis of analyzing the special features of the unemployed university graduates, the thesis has raised some countermeasures, which are characterized by establishing the employment-oriented Insurance System for Unemployed University Graduates, establishing the devoted unemployment insurance fund for university graduates, setting up a nationwide database network for unemployed university graduates, restructuring a market-based employment training mechanism, and intruding a system encouraging university graduates to start an undertaking.
