Research on the Problems of Resident Participation from the Perspective of Community Governance—Take X Community in Chongqing as an Example
Governance is a new management philosophy, compared with traditional management, which more emphasizes coordination, stakeholder participation and interaction. Under the framework of community, community governance puts more emphasis on diversification of the subject of governance, the diversity of means of governance, network of governance, interactive process of governance, and broad participation of community residents. With the deepening autonomy of urban community in China, the participation of community residents has been the outstanding problem which perplexes the governance of urban communities. The participation of residents is not only the base of community governance, but also an important logo that measures the effectiveness of community governance. It is also the power source of the healthy, efficient and harmonious developed community. Under the guidance of community governance and through the investigation of the problem of resident participation of X community in Chongqing, in this dissertation we put forward a countermeasure for promoting the resident participation of community, which will certainly provides a reference for urban communities.
